2 more rides - it's been a while!

I have finally got back on my bike again after about 3 weeks. My dad and I went out for a 'short' ride on Easter Monday. The weather was the best of the weekend, so we took advantage of it. It was a nice steady ride, averaging around 12 miles an hour and we did a total of 30 miles.
I am also now a proper cyclist! For my birthday I received some new cycling shoes and pedals. I am now attached to my bike when I'm riding! It's pretty scary and I have to remember to unclip myself when coming to a junction, but so far I've not fallen over (although apparently it's just a matter of time!)
This morning I went out for a ride with a fellow cyclist that I met through a website called cyclesocial.co.uk (a very friendly site with loads of people happy and willing to give advice when asked and encouagement where needed). I'd told him I wanted to do around 40 miles and he didn't disappoint. It was a fairly flat ride, with the odd incline, but my legs were knackered around the 30 mile mark. We didn't stop for the usual cup of tea so we did 43 miles without stopping. No real surprise that I could barely walk when I got home!!
I should be out again tomorrow, but that will have to depend on if I can get out of bed - fingers crossed I'll be ok, I need to get the miles back on.
Please don't forget to head to the link below if you want to sponsor me. All the charity information is below - all for a VERY good cause. THANKS xxxxxxxxxx
